Dt. Nesimi SOFUOĞLU (Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Specialist)
was born in Azerbaijan on March 8, 1982. He began his education at Mehti Hüseyinzade High School, where he completed his primary and secondary education. Later, he started his Dentistry education at Azerbaijan Medical University, and in 2003, he came to Turkey to continue his education at Istanbul University Faculty of Dentistry. After graduating from Istanbul University Faculty of Dentistry, Sofuoğlu completed his specialization training in the Department of Oral, Dental, and Maxillofacial Surgery at the same university. While continuing his education, he also studied Sociology at Istanbul University Faculty of Open and Distance Education between 2012-2017.
Dr. Sofuoğlu completed his military service in Azerbaijan between 2000-2001. He is proficient in English and Russian to a moderate extent among his language skills.
His professional interests include various fields related to oral, dental, and maxillofacial health, such as dentoalveolar surgery, orthognathic surgery, laser surgery, temporomandibular joint diseases and treatments, implant surgery, and reconstructive implant surgery.
Dr. Sofuoğlu gained work experience as an oral, dental, and maxillofacial surgeon at clinics such as Florya Dentaworld ADSP, Bağcılar Dentaworld ADSP, Florya Maydent ADSP, and Avrupa Diş ADSP. He worked full-time at Akvadent ADSP in 2018. Currently, he provides services in the field of Maxillofacial Surgery at Lotus Dental Clinic.
Additionally, Dr. Sofuoğlu's scientific articles published in various national and international journals and his participation in conferences have gained attention. Among his significant works is the determination of the frequency of idiopathic calcification seen in jawbones in the Turkish population.
Dr. Sofuoğlu continuously advances his professional development by participating in various training programs, including implantology, microscope use, and stem cell research. He is also a member of important scientific organizations such as the Turkish Dental Association (TDB) and the Istanbul Chamber of Dentists (İDO)
